What We Believe

It is true that:

God is holy and must punish sin, yet He loves us and has provided forgiveness for our sin. Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" - John 14:6.
Jesus is God and became man. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us" - John 1:1,14.
Jesus died for us on the cross, "For Christ died for sins once for all the righteous for the unrighteous to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit" - 1 Peter 3:18
Jesus was resurrected from the dead. "He was delivered to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification" - Romans 4:25
That is Good News. The Bible says "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believe in His name, he gave the right to become children of God" - John 1:12

Caraleigh Baptist Church

It shall be the purpose of this body to provide regular opportunities of worship, to sustain the ordinances (Baptism and the Lord's Supper), doctrines and ethics set forth in the New Testament for the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ, to teach and train its members to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to support with its offerings all phases of the Lord's work throughout the world.
Having been led, as we believe by the spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and, on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ.
We engage therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit to walk together in Christian love, to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality, to sustain its cheerfully and regularly support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel through the nations.
